Sigh, this has been a tough year for gamers, and now that we are leaving August. This will be the start of the Fall season of gaming. Today we got an announcement of a Sony State of Play, which is ahead of the Tokyo Game Show starting on the 17th of September. On that note, nothing much else but the details.
Short but Sweet:
From Sony’s blog post, they stated the following,
“First, tune in for a new State of Play featuring updates and announcements from PlayStation Studios and our third-party partners, concluding with an extended look at the vast world ofย Final Fantasy VII Revelationย from our friends at Square Enix.
Immediately following, stay tuned for a new episode of State of Play Japan, once again hosted by Yuki Kaji. State of Play Japan will offer deep dives into upcoming games from game studios in Japan and Asia, including new gameplay, announcements, and more.”
September is going to be a beefy month of both games and content. Insomniac Games’ Wolverine title drops this month, but yes, details on Final Fantasy VII: Revelations will be the hot topic. Personally, I hope there is some more information for I have no hopes that Sony will address the issues going on with their business ethics, which is a growing problem and seems to be heating up. Some third-party developers are keeping their distance until things blow over it seems. This past GamesCom showed how some developers felt about Sony, especially the crowd. Nothing like the cold shoulder to make a statement.
The State of Play will begin at 9 AM EST Thursday, so tune in either onย YouTubeย orย Twitch. Also, stay tuned for more News as it develops and updates on the games coming soon. – Beast Out –
