Seeing the hype starting to build with this upcoming title from independent studio Demir Games with involvement from Nyctophile Studios is really promising. Not gonna lie, I am really looking forward to getting to try it out, I’ve seen a few posts on Instagram from their page and honestly, it’s making me feel quite excited! I’ve been waiting on a good horror game that I can play with friends and I’m really hoping this game is as good as I imagine it could be!
Give us a Sign Game overview

It’s a Ghost hunting 1-4 player co-op, psychological horror sim, with voice reactive mechanics. Much like Phasmophobia, you will use specialized equipment to gather evidence and identify the different entities. Graphically, it looks far superior though, which is going to suck me right into the environment and scare me senseless, yayyy! You can apparently customise your load out and identity to suit your play style which I love, and being able to have up to 4 players, you can try to cover all bases in hunting the various entities on the different maps.
Environment changes

One thing I am super excited about is that the environment is a living system that reacts to the players presence. Not only does your steps within each place disrupt the balance but also your voices! Both of which are to cause the atmosphere to become increasingly more unsettling. The idea of this is brilliant as it should feel that you and your friends are actually within the setting making every step and sound count. With the constant shift in the space you will never feel that you are fully in control of the game, which should make each investigation really intense and terrifying.
The Entities

Each entity will come with it’s own lore and have it’s own unique behaviour. I have visions and hopes of the 13 Ghosts back stories, getting to know each entity and why they are the way they are. They will have different strengths and weaknesses and their characteristics are inspired by folklore and real paranormal stories. This sounds epic to me! I love a good ghost story and having 20+ to hear will be really intriguing.
Location Location Location

Each location will come with it’s own history unique to that area. I absolutely love game lore, so I’m really hoping that each map has a good history that unsettles us! They will all also have different levels of paranormal intensity. This will definitely lull players into a false sense of security sometimes which will definitely ensure some scares. Every time you load in will be a completely new experience due to each map changing the general layout and even the hiding spots, a bit like Outlast Trials. The threat levels and activity will change too, making each approach requiring a different strategy.
Getting Equipped

At the start of the game, you have a safehouse in which you and your team will be able to choose which equipment you will need to take with you on your investigation. There will be a range of paranormal detection devices and also some survival essentials, so it will be important that you try and cover all bases within your team.
Because each map has it’s own unique threats and surprises, trying to pair the right location with the proper equipment will be essential to a successful investigation. It definitely sounds like it won’t just be a grab and go game but more thought out, strategic moves and working as a team to survive each map. You will also be able to play arcade machines in the safehouse too which is a fun addition.
Customise your Character

I love that it’s promising a wide range of high quality character customisation. Choosing your look long with your gear seems that it could impact how you are seen and function in the map. I do love customising my character in games and almost always try and make it as close to myself as possible, or really dumb, so having a horror game that I can do this with is already scoring points with me instead of picking from a generic 4 character base. I think we all as gamers appreciate a higher quality customisation for our characters.
Future Content

The game also promises new regions and more dangerous entities included with a season pass. They seem to have a lot of things on the horizon for this game which is really exciting as it will keep the game replay ability high along with the changing maps. The game will be available on all platforms although the initial release will be on steam (PC for Miss Moon then) and will include cross play at some point too which is great news!
Final Thoughts

From the clips I’ve seen, the graphics look amazing and the maps look terrifying. The sounds also sound really intimidating which makes me feel really excited for this game! Who doesn’t love a good ghost hunt? And with 20+ different lore driven (eeeek!) entities It sounds like Phasmophobia on steriods! The demo will be available in October this year and seriously, it would include around 8 entities, it can come quick enough for me to be honest! They will have an early access release 3-4 months after that which will include a tutorial area, 3 playable locations and 18-20 entities, I’m literally counting down the days.

This is going is going to kick it up a notch when it comes to ghost hunting multiplayer. Great read and I am hyped to check this out.
I seriously cannot wait for it! I think the fact each investigation will be entirely different just makes so much sense for a game like this to have longevity!
