Whats up gamers? It is incredible on how good we are going to be eating with video games in the coming months and next year. The only thing I will say I am disappointed that was not shown was Intergalactic game. Even though the show was a bit glitchy, there was a beefy amount of games for everyone. This show was literally rated E For Everyone. Geoff Keighley was on the money with a big reveal at the end of the show. But here are the list of games that were shown during Summer Game Fest! Keep in mind I will be going into full detail on some of my favorites and post the links to the rest of the showcase.
The Last Ronin The Game Teaser
They may have cancelled the movie, but the game lives on and the fact that Platinum Games is working on it. That has all the hope justified being that they worked on Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden 4, and many others. The Last Ronin was a deep story for the TMNT series being that only one of the four turtles survived. Spoiler alert, it was Mikey and reading the comic to see how it all went down took a dark toll. It was nuts. All four Brothers fought with honor and ferocity, even their friends like Casey Jones who fell with Leonardo. The fact that Master Splinter and Donatello fell into a trap. It was nuts seeing the pain and growth that Michelangelo had to go through.

Playing out the story in video game form makes me wonder if we are going to hit the flashbacks as well as his main journey?
Stranger Than Heaven Character Reveal
Stranger Than Heaven was already sold and on my radar as we speak, but this huge reveal has many flabbergasted. Tupac being revived into a video game was not on my Summer Game Fest bingo card at all. Many questions are at hand with one main one being who is voicing his character? Are they going to do a voice compilation from his previous works and then make something from that? Because as most are too young to know Tupac as a great actor as well as a rapper. This is going to be cool and you can tell Snoop is happy about this addition as well as his own game studio Death Row Games. That alone has me wondering if he will try to revive the Def Jam series.
Stellar Blade Blood Rain Announced
This is what you get when you mix in Battle Angel Alita and Ghost in the Shell mixed with Stellar Blade. First off, seeing actual throwing hands in any video game is my jam! I didn’t find the first game too much to my liking, but Blood Rain is shaping up to be what I am looking for in this universe. Not every character should play the same and this is apparent in this new title where you shake things up with MMA. I mean she is bobbing and weaving through attacks and that is nice. I can’t wait to see more of this gameplay in a deep dive.
Virtua Fighter Crossroads
I mean come on, Sega is eating good so far and Virtua Fighter Crossroads is heating up to be something special. I do believe this is the first time we are getting a story mode in the Virtua Fighter series. Here is the thing, fighting games should have a good story mode and that’s just my personal feelings. Virtua Fighter had an anime which was already their breaking into a story. This one is going that underground feel to it and besides it could be in the same Universe as Like a Dragon series easy. I say why not? The biggest reveal is new cast of characters while still keeping the original roster. Now I plan to do a full deep dive later.
Wolf Among Us 2 FINALLY!
Finally after all these years Telltale comes out to share something juicy that fans of the game and the Fable comics been wanting to see. We get to continue our story with Bigby Wolf and his sleuthing skills in A Wolf Among Us 2. Now, what has me tripping out is this new case he is working on and the fact that his evidence board showcasing some Wizard of Oz characters with some interesting details.

Also being added is a remastered version of the first A Wolf Among Us, which I am “meh” about. I do plan to replay my version of it anyway, but unless I can get a free upgrade or there is more contact added, no thanks.
Gundam Rogue Orbit made me Jump!
OH SNAP, IT’S A GUNDAM! Thats right a new Gundam game has been revealed and it looks superb. The combat, the mobility is what I expect from a Gundam game just like how they move in the anime. Gundam Rogue Orbit being a new action adventure is all we got so far. I can’t wait to see what more they will show and what we can do or customize in the upcoming title. Gundam needs more single player titles.
Amsterdam 1666 Reveal
Anyone else feel like this is what Assassin’s Creed Hex is supposed to be, being that the creator is Patrice Désilets, the original co-creator and creative director of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. A quick synopsis of 1666: Amsterdam.
Every 333 years, something stirs. 1666: Amsterdam is a 3rd person Dark, Story-Led, Action-Adventure where Noa, the Collector, wields witchcraft to uncover demonic entities hiding behind human faces. Investigate by day. Face your demons at night.
Even better there is a live demo available right now for both Epic Games and Steam. Expect a video on my thoughts later.
