Not going to lie, this had me cracking up. To be fair, the gacha community has a strong fanbase with interesting characters, especially when it comes to “eye-catching visuals”. Nothing wrong with that, you get the best of both worlds with Project GT. Combat Racing with cute anime women. The kicker is that these racing characters are the persona of your favorite underground cars. Just like Umamusume: Pretty Derby.
The Car-Girls You Love and Drive:
“Project GT has been announced as a Kickstarter campaign. This will be a multi-platform racing game, where we can control and collect different Car-Girls inspired by real cars. Project GT will be playable in Solo mode and Co-op. The game is being developed by former devs from miHoYo, Lilith Games, Tencent, Netease, Sunborn, etc., but it’s not a Gacha game this time.”

The mix of a deep racing combat game with the cut car-girl anime style is a unique take. Will underground car racing fans dive into this? Sure, why not? It is not your traditional underground scene, and you can go high octane speed with your best girl. Besides, in the car culture, most enthusiasts consider the cars they admire as ladies anyway. Reminds me of the movie, “Gone in Sixty Seconds,” where each car had its own lady name. What would the Trueno AE-86 look like, or the Godzilla of Japan, the Nissan Skyline GT-R R32? That’s if we have a wide variety of cars in the game.
Final Takeaway:

It’s an intriguing concept, and Project GT is planned to come out for mobile, consoles, and PC, which I am not surprised. At this point, nothing surprises me in the gaming world, but at least they are thinking outside the box. I would rather have the best lady drive in my favorite car as a racer vs. this, but I am not the demographic audience. Let me know your thoughts on this game. – Beast Out –
