Gundam Rogue Orbit Has a Release Date!
First off, happy Friday, gamers! I am so hyped for this game; the smooth mecha action is always my jam. I am trying to remember my first Mech video game, and I want to say it was Virtual On, then Battletech, then Mechwarrior, and finally Gundam. But Gundam and Robotech were my first mech anime, starting my ride into big robot action. My first live-action mech was Robot Jox!
But now we have Gundam: Rogue Orbit that looks like they went outside the box with this Gundam title. The speed of your mech and the combat are up to par with Armored Core’s action and gameplay. Then you have the interesting monsters that you encounter, which seem to be organic mechs. The Gundam Helix is going to be an awesome machine to pilot. There will be other skins to customize the Helix, and there seems to be a classic Gundam skin that will be added.
“Combat in GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT gives players extensive options to customize their Mobile Suit around their preferred playstyle, equipping different weapons, frames, thrusters, and Apocalypse Units (AP-U), along with selecting their own color scheme. Such a beautiful collector’s edition and only $159.99, but after tax it comes up to $190. But as of right now, there is only a waiting list, and hopefully they restock.

I feel like in this day and age, Mech games need that anime feel. Especially when it comes to anything Gundam, as the mobility is top there, and it would be cool if the Gundam Helix got a Trans Am mode. The story is original in an independent timeline, so for those that have stated, “That’s not a Gundam”, don’t be “that guy”. So, this is good for newcomers to the Gundam universe, and they can start a fresh new story for everyone. The main threat is something called “Apocalypse,” which threatens humanity to the brink of extinction. Why was the pilot in stasis for 3 years? Can’t wait to find out next year, and you will have your choice on PlayStation®5, XBOX Series X|S, and PC via Steam®.
