What is happening gamers? It’s Beast with the details on Grand Theft Auto VI, both digital and physical details. Tonight will be the official pre-order launch stated by Rockstar on IG earlier this morning. Time to Shake up Fictitious Florida!
GTA VI, the highly anticipated title, will be dropping this Fall, and you can obtain the base game for $79.99. The premium edition will go for $99.99, and frankly speaking, no one should be surprised. Keep in mind that the overseas prices have not been revealed, but you can do the math if you wish. Also, the rumor of the file space for GTA VI is in the range of 200 BG to 350 GB, and that is not including whatever expansions that might include or the online multiplayer. That is not going to be at launch, just like they did with GTA V when it first dropped.
The physical copies of the game will not have a disc, but rather a code to download. Hey, look, you physical collectors can still get that precious box to show off. Hopefully, a steel case will be in the works as well. Surprisingly enough, there is no word of a collector’s edition, which Rockstar is known for, but only the gaming gods will know how much that will be in the future. Rather, think about what else would come with it in the long run? When I got the collector’s edition for GTA IV, I got a lockbox, Statue of Liberty City, and some other trinkets.
Those who pre-order the digital version will be able to pre-load starting November 12th, 2026. There is a supposed “Ultimate Edition” which will grant players extra vehicles, weapons, and other cosmetics for their characters.
Final Thought:
Is the price tag fair? At this point, that will be left to the buyer. Last year, Nintendo started a new price range for games having Mario Kart World at $80 for their Switch 2. Personally, I have stated that the value of the game determines on the replay value and the vast world. Not every game should push for that price exactly. But, GTA is a massive game that lasted for 3 generations of consoles. Will you get your money’s worth in that huge world of GTA VI? I think so, just by looking at the map compared to GTA V.
Being that the pre-orders go live tonight and the game drops in November, gamers will have enough time to plan their time off and save enough to get what they want. It’s sad to see the inevitable of price increases happening in front of us, it sucks especially for people that can’t afford games at a time like this, and you said it perfectly, it’s up to the consumer whether or not it’s a fair price, me personally it’s not. I would hope for a game like this would have online day one at LEAST plus rumors saying it’s around 300 gigs to download is insane to me.
I see it like this. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 when it came out back in 1994 it was $69.99 for a 3 hour game. GTA VI is easily a hundred hours plus at $80. So it depends on what you feel is worth the price.
I really think buying the physical copy just for a download code is so silly and very wasteful when it comes down to it. Theres no need for unnecessary plastic if theres no other incentive in buying it. And while the price seems insane, I’m sure Rockstar will make sure this has just as much playability as gta 5 so I’m pretty excited for that atleast and the story!
i believe it will have a lot of replay value when it drops and this is enough time to save up for whatever edition you need.
