Tekken 8 Season 3 Reveal

Tekken 8 Season 3 has been revealed, and the content is strong. Now, granted, the Devs recieved a lot of negative feedback when it came to season 2. The problems were around the extreme, homogenized shift toward unstoppable offensive pressure that renders defensive 3D maneuvering largely ineffective. Also, the fact that characters from the previous game became DLC, and it seems the same is coming with Season 3 as well. Let’s break it down.

Tekken 8 New Characters and Gameplay Changes Explained

We are seeing a return of the famed kunochi kunimitsu, who is dropping in late spring. Not going to sugar coat this, she was DLC in Tekken 7 and returning as DLC in Tekken 8. Also, taking note that now they are revealing all the characters being added since Steam got on their case about selling content without letting consumers know what they are buying.

Next up is the Beef cake with Speed and Weight. Bob is dropping in during the summer. Bob is a fan favorite, being the big guy breaking the stereotype with moves smoother than butter. Quite the fun character to be reintroduced this time as DLC.

Then, from Australia, we have Roger Jr making a huge surprise comeback in Tekken 8. We have not seen this Kangaroo boxing menace since Tekken 6. Hopefully, the devs will bring out other characters like them, because fighting games had these goofy style characters that made it fun. Kuma and Panda are already in there, which made it interesting, but there were so many more.

There is one hidden character for winter not revealed, and there is hope that it is an original character.

Tekken 8 at Evo 2026

Not many games made the cut, but even with the issues that Tekken 8 has had since Season 2. It is still a strong part of the fighting games community, and given that Harada-san is retiring. That announcement hit gamers to the core, being that he was the face of Tekken for years, and his famous line, “Don’t Ask me for SHIT!” resonated through the crowds. The battles in Tekken 8 will be heated up and be sure to check out Born with a Controller’s coverage at EVO 2026 this year. Time to burn some muscle! – Beast Out
