Dead or Alive 6: Last Round made its debut during last week’s State of Play, and there’s already a bit of an issue worth addressing. The Dead or Alive series has fallen off ever since Itagaki and his team left the company, and Team Ninja’s presence hasn’t carried the same aura since.
Let’s not get it twisted, though DOA remains the GOONER game of the fighting community, pairing strong combat mechanics with unapologetic fan service. The real question now is: what should players actually expect from DOA 6: Last Round?
What’s the Issue?
Coming from Eventhub, most gamers thought DOA was dead in the water. However, not just having the Dead or Alive 6 Last Round. Dead or Alive 7 has a small teaser as well. The one takeaway players should know is this.

- Save data and DLC costumes can be carried over from DEAD OR ALIVE 6: Core Fighters.
- Details on how to carry over data will be announced at a later date.
- Network play between DEAD OR ALIVE 6 and DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round is not possible.
DOA 6 and DOA 6 Last Round with no network play is baffling. But, jsut curious if someone who owns DOA 6 can they get a free upgrade? Probably not, knowing their business ethics with the cost of DLC and everything else. It will all depend on how much Last Round will cost vs. Dead or Alive 6. Besides no word on Rollback netcode and no crossplay support. The hits just keep on coming.

Team Ninja, since DoA 5 Last Round, had some weird choices. Being that to get all the DLC cost over a thousand dollars. Has not made the right choices in the best interest of the gamers. Dead or Alive 6 Last Round is not looking too good either. It sucks because there is a great fighting game here. See what happens with the new title coming out and when more details drop.
