SQUARE ENIX is giving players one last chance to check in before the doors officially open. KILLER INN will host a Free Stay Weekend starting Friday, February 6, allowing players to jump into the multiplayer murder mystery action game ahead of its Early Access launch on February 12.
The Free Stay Weekend runs from Feb. 6 at 5:00 p.m. ET through Feb. 9 at 4:59 p.m. ET on Steam. Players who participate will earn a special weapon skin and nameplate banner when Early Access begins, including anyone who took part in previous closed beta tests.
A Deadly Weekend in the Castle
To kick things off, the developers will host a live developer talk on the official KILLER INN Discord on Thursday, February 5, at 10:00 p.m. ET, giving players insight into the game’s systems and what to expect heading into Early Access.
In KILLER INN, up to 24 players are invited to a mysterious castle by a shadowy organization known as Astra. Players are secretly assigned one of two roles: Wolves, who must hunt and eliminate others, or Lambs, who must survive, escape, or fight back. With killers hiding in plain sight, every interaction becomes a risk, and trust is a luxury few can afford.
From the lambs and wolves at the start of Early Access, players can look forward to the following content:
- Playable Characters – Through gameplay, players can unlock a total of 27 playable characters, each with two unique abilities. Players can also instantly unlock characters through an optional in-game purchase.
- Four Game Modes – Players can select one of the following game modes to play:
- Tutorial: this guided mode will walk players through the game’s essential rules and game flow, preparing them to dive into the action
- Training: this single player mode enables players to run freely around the game maps and familiarize themselves with the controls
- Casual: participate in thrilling matches with a total of 24 players
- Custom: play with a specific group of players or friends (recommended for 8-9 players or more)
- Maps – Two maps will be available: Lunum Wing and Solarium Wing
As KILLER INN enters the Early Access stage of its development, the development team will actively seek player input to further refine the game ahead of its official release. From the start of Early Access, players can purchase one of the following versions of the game on Steam:
- Standard Edition (limited-time discounted) – Includes the base game, available at an 10% discount off the Early Access price of $9.99 for a limited time. After two weeks of the discount period, the Standard Edition will be available at the regular Early Access price of $9.99.
- Special Supporter Edition (limited-time Early Access price $29.99) – Includes the base game, two additional playable characters (Bibi the Sleuth and LOVE the Serial Killer), four Eclipse Archive Series skins (Club, Battle Axe, SMG, Body Armor), and custom lobby advanced rule editing features**. Available at a 10% discount off the Early Access price of $29.99 for two weeks from launch.
With its blend of social deduction, action, and chaos, KILLER INN is shaping up to be a must-watch multiplayer experience as it heads toward full release.
