Keen Games has officially revealed the next chapter for Enshrouded. During the game’s second anniversary celebration for Early Access, the developers confirmed that Enshrouded will fully launch with version 1.0 in Autumn 2026.
Alongside the announcement, the team dropped a brand-new Road to Release dev diary and an evolving roadmap outlining what players can expect as the survival RPG prepares to leave Early Access. For the more than 5 million Flameborn who have already explored its world, the journey is only just beginning.
Enshrouded’s Roadmap Toward 1.0
Keen Games describes the development path as “rarely straightforward,” but their newly shared roadmap gives players a clear sense of direction.
The next major milestone arrives in Q2 with the eighth major Early Access update, which includes:
- Combat balancing and refinements
- Improved performance and optimization
- Enhanced animations and polish
- Additional gameplay improvements
Most importantly, this update introduces the first iteration of Adventure Sharing, a long-requested feature that allows players to explore the bases of fellow Flameborn with ease.
This update is designed to prepare the game’s systems and community for the eventual 1.0 launch.
5 Million Players and a New Chapter
Since launching into Early Access in January 2024, Enshrouded has attracted over five million players. That success has allowed Keen Games to expand the original vision and grow the scope of the world, making Autumn 2026 the ideal window for a full release.
The studio also emphasized that version 1.0 is not the end. Instead, it marks the beginning of a new phase with continued updates, improvements, and content beyond launch.
Latest Patch Improvements
Before the next big content drop, Keen Games is rolling out a new patch featuring:
- Clearer damage numbers
- Improved blocking and parry telegraphing
- More accurate projectile spells and attacks
- A new vanity armor set from the Huntress
- Less “random” exploding barrels
