The latest pre-order trailer for Phantom Blade Zero dropped a major martial arts star who is not only in the game but was Creative Consultant. Donnie Yen is a famed martial artist in many movies for decades. You have to appreciate it when a known actor is involved with a video game, and a highly anticipated one at that. Players are still awaiting a State of Play giving a deep dive into the game further.. So stay tuned for that, but in the meantime, let’s enjoy some pre-order details.
Donnie Yen’s involvement:
S-Game Studio who is the Action Game developer, did a great job collaborating with Donnie Yen. Apparently, he is also the co-producer for Phantom Blade Zero. Creative director Soulframe Liang’s team designed the motion capture process, recording Donnie Yen as well as his stunt team’s movements. Additionally, the combat system was built from the ground up. The only other time we saw this level of martial arts detail of an action star is Stranglehold and Jet Li’s Rise to Honor. It gets down to the details, especially when a boss has to react to a five-hit combo. You have to appreciate the attention they are putting into this game.
Pre-order Information:

These are the simple cosmetic pre-order bonuses that you can get, and deluxe edition information, however. Overseas is a whole different ball game with a full physical collector’s edition from the JD.com flagship store.
So that translates into US currency $177.81, and from the Twitter account, they do ship to US and Canada. More details on the collector’s edition for Chinese gamers can be seen here.
We shall stay tuned for more details as they develop on the next State of Play. However, with the details so far, what do you think? – Beast Out –
