It was about time to fully talk about this game that I have been following on Patreon for years now. What if you took the fable-like female protagonist, beefed them up with abilities, and added them to a hack-and-slash-style game? You get Swords and Slippers, a new title from Mass Creation, an indie developer that puts deadly combat with a sexy aesthetic. This is not the first time someone has taken the fables and made them into their own story and/or style; look at “A Wolf Among Us,” for example. However, Mass Creation has done something badass here with the characters Snow White and Red Riding Hood, and with the latest trailer for Rapunzel. Let’s see waht these ladies got!
Not your Damsels in Distress!
There were two other trailers before Rapunzel: Snow White, who wields the hunter’s axe, and Red Riding Hood, who is a Lycan. Red Riding Hood is going to be my favorite out of the three. Don’t forget about the Fairy Godmother, who seems to be the focus point to the plot of the story.

Mass Creation has uploaded a new gameplay footage to give gamers a better idea of what to expect in this hack-and-slash.
Final Thoughts:
Each heroine packs a punch, but the unique style of their abilities is where the game shines. Rapunzel has a symbiotic hair that demolishes her opponents and might imply that it eats them too. Would be a nice and dark twist to strengthen her hair and keep it golden. However, when playing the test game, I got the chance to only check out Snow White and Red Riding Hood, who both have smooth combat. As I stated, I prefer Red as she has more claw-based combat, moving around enemies and slashing through their armor like tissue paper.
As of now, the wishlist on Steam has reached over 100k, but no official release date has been posted or pre-order details. But stay tuned for more updates as they develop. Looking forward to seeing what comes from Swords & Slippers. – Beast Out –
