Good morning gamers, and welcome to this New Game Plus report on Parasite Mutant. I played the demo not too long ago, which is a spiritual successor to Parasite Eve. The amusing aspect of these game styles is that the main developer puts their old and successful IPs in storage for years, collecting dust. Only for fans to reimagine their titles in their own way. I am personally stepping outside the box by trying out this Bio-Horror RPG, as I am not typically into horror games like that.
To be fair, Parasite Mutant was not that bad, being that it is a Bio-Horror Turn-Based RPG. My only main gripe is the bar you have to wait to load up in order to do a melee attack or use your gun. The biggest kicker is that you have to wait for the two bars to fill up to use your items or any other abilities. Not a good selling point for me, because items should be a separate area, not tied in with your attacks.
All in all, not a bad game. The visuals are good, and the monster designs are gruesome and interesting. At this point, I hope you do have battles in a known city, but now, and how it ended, you are a cyborg. At least it was a better experience than Code Violet.
Parasite Mutant is now available as a demo on Steam, so check it out for yourself. – Beast Out –
